Job Summary:
The Business Development Executive sells building and energy services solutions to commercial, industrial and institutional building owners. Develops self-funding solutions that modernize facility infrastructure and resolves operating inefficiencies while improving comfort, operating performance, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
Duties:Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a sales plan for identifying performance contracting opportunities within assigned vertical markets.
• Leverage existing customer relationships and executive level selling skills to engage prospective clients in the consultative solutions based process.
• Develop & deploy sales strategies with a focus on retrofitting facilities mechanical, electrical, utility & building envelope equipment & systems to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency.
• Manage the sales process from opportunity development through contract execution, booking & transition to operations.
• Work with the Hunton Services team to complete utility data analysis, building surveys, needs assessment, financial justification, proposal preparation and customer presentations.
• Work with prospective customer’s operations, finance, & legal team as necessary to ensure a successful sale.
• Lead development of strategic & tactical business plans.
• Report potential business risk issues and participate in risk mitigation strategies.
• Assist in resolving installation, collections, or other customer satisfaction issues.
• Prepare accurate & thorough sales activity reports, forecasts, and expense reports.






Other Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with industry associations and organizations within assigned vertical markets.
• Be aware of Hunton Group’s broader offerings of products/services/solutions and work well with other members of the sales force to position accordingly.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
• Prepare reports, correspondence and maintains files.
• Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences, and project team activities.
• Must be proficient with a personal computer and the Microsoft Office Suite of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Maintain regular, consistent, and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance. Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and selling skills.
• Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment.
• Other related responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:Qualifications:

• BS degree in business, engineering, construction management or business administration.
• Equivalent of three to five years of performance contracting experience including previous leadership, sales, and/or marketing with an energy services organization.
• Strong Executive level selling skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of building mechanical, electrical and infrastructure systems and energy analysis.
• Must be able to multi-task, openly communicate, work well with others, and maintain a positive attitude.
• The ideal candidate will be self-driven, results-oriented, and possess a clear focus on quality and profit.
